CUSTOMIZED TREATMENT

Frown lines
Frown lines are caused by tensing the frown muscles: when we look angry, serious, or into the sun. They give us a stern look, and many people complain about often being asked if they are angry. Every time we make these muscle movements, the skin folds, and if we do this often enough, a permanent line forms in this fold; a wrinkle in the skin.

Forehead
Forehead lines are caused by the movement of the forehead muscle that pulls the eyebrows up: when looking surprised or as compensation for heavy eyelids. Every time we make these muscle movements, the skin folds, and if we do this often enough, a permanent line forms in this fold; a wrinkle in the skin.

Crow's feet
The so-called 'crow's feet' appear when we contract the muscles around the eyes often enough, for example, when laughing. This also often leads to wrinkles under the eyes. Every time we make these muscle movements, the skin folds, and if we do this often enough, a permanent line forms in this fold; a wrinkle in the skin.

Neck
When the neck is tensed, the vertical neck bands become visible. These are treated along their entire length with injections at intervals of 1-2 cm. This will soften the vertical neck bands, reduce wrinkles, and tighten the skin.

Teeth grinding
Teeth grinding or clenching the jaws indicates an overactive chewing muscle. This can be harmful to teeth, cause (head)pain, and alter the face's shape. The jaw is prominent, and the face has an angular shape.

Armpits
Excessive underarm perspiration can be treated with Botox®/Bocouture®. This anti-perspiration treatment temporarily affects the nerves that control the sweat glands. As a result, (excessive) underarm perspiration is significantly reduced. Some people even notice no sweat production from their armpits at all.

Eyebrow lift / Bunny lines
In addition to skin laxity and skeletal changes, an overactive muscle around the eyes can cause drooping eyebrows. With a few small Botox® injections, we can relax this overactive muscle, resulting in a (subtle) eyebrow lift. The treatment is often combined with frown line treatment for maximum lift.

Gummy smile / Lip flip
A gummy smile is a smile where a lot of gum is visible, caused by an overactive muscle. With Botox®, we can temporarily relax this muscle, making less gum visible when smiling.

Corners of the mouth / Chin
Drooping corners of the mouth are usually caused by volume loss in the face and can then be treated with fillers.

However, some people often (unconsciously) pull the corners of their mouth down and have overactive muscles that make this movement.

WHAT DOES BOTOX® DO?

Many people think that Botox® removes wrinkles. With Botox®, we temporarily relax muscles in the face. This allows the skin to recover, and wrinkles caused by muscle movement will fade. Moreover, we prevent these wrinkles from deepening.

THE TREATMENT

A Botox® treatment, including consultation, takes approximately 15 minutes. The Botox® is injected into the muscle to be treated with a very thin needle. In terms of pain, the treatment is generally well tolerated. The effect starts after approximately 3-7 days, is maximal after 14 days, and lasts an average of 3 months, depending on muscle strength. External factors, such as smoking and sunlight, also influence the effect.

With successive treatments, the effect can last longer, hence the advice to repeat the treatment in a timely manner (before full muscle activity returns).

AFTER THE TREATMENT

After the treatment, it is important not to lie down immediately or massage the treated area. It is also not advisable to exercise on the same day or visit a sauna or tanning bed.
